SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- A Spokane Valley home went up in flames Tuesday morning, just hours after the residents moved in.

A man driving to work around 7 a.m. noticed flames erupting from the roof of the home in the 8800 block of East Broadway.

Crews arrived to find the home fully engulfed. The fire was knocked down within an hour, but crews remaind on scene to montior hot spots.

The exact cause is unknown. The property owner says new renters moved into the house just last night. No one was home at the time of the fire. There is a wood stove in the house, according to the owner, but the fire department is still investigating.

A fire broke out in the home next door to this one last month. It's owned by the same woman.
