SPOKANE--Fewer and fewer people are using Tuffy’s Trail in North Spokane, where a mystery killer attacked and killed Sharlotte McGill.

Tuffy’s Trail starts near Mission and Hamilton and runs more than three miles along the Spokane River to Greene Street.

Neighbor Cole Gerard says she’s seen less foot traffic along South Riverton Drive and below where the trail runs near the Spokane River.  She also says she notices fewer people walking alone than before..

Spokane Police say officers are keeping watch of activity on local trials while out on routine patrol.
