SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Spokane School District updated the school board on progress made on the Ferris High School construction project.
Staff highlighted that the new campus is one unified building instead of 11 separate buildings.
Leaders also said the school has an open field campus on 50 acres. The principal added that improvements in heating and air conditioning will make a major difference in student performance.
The project is a few months ahead of schedule and $17 million under budget. Construction of the building is set to finish February 1. There will still be some work next spring on tennis courts and softball fields at Ferris.
