SPOKANE – Spokane Police said they arrested a wanted felon after he crashed into another car while trying to outrun officers.
Police said officers spotted the man driving near 4th and Walnut Saturday afternoon. He had a warrant out for Felony Escape, so police tried to pull him over.
The man sped off, triggering a short pursuit through downtown Spokane.
Police said the suspect blew a red light at the intersection of 2nd and Jefferson, and slammed into an oncoming car. That driver of the car he hit was treated for minor injuries.
Police caught the suspect in a nearby alley after he ran from the crash.
The crash blocked traffic at the intersection of 2nd and Jefferson Saturday evening.
