Tumtum, Wash. -- A pack of killer dogs is still on the loose in rural Stevens County.  So far the animals have killed more than 50 goats, sheep, and chickens in the Tumtum area.  The owners of the killed animals say enough is enough.

For the third time in less than a month animals living on a farm in Tumtum have been killed by a pack of wild dogs.  Now the animal's owners are turning to new methods, including homemade forensics to catch the dogs they think are responsible.

12-year-old Stephen Hendrix recalls what he saw Thursday night, two dogs savagely break into a goat shelter and kill a baby goat.  That goat has not been found.  Their Tumtum property has been a virtual crime scene over the past weeks.  As chicken feathers from a previous attack still lay on the ground, the coup sits in shambles.

The Hendrix family is hunting for their K9 killers with the help of the Stevens County Sheriff's Office.  Stephen and his sister Kerra collected hair samples from one of the mystery animals Thursday night.  It will help investigators pin at least one of the dogs to the killings if the deadly animals are found.

So far the kids only have a description of the wild animals.  They say one is white with yellow eyes, and the other looks like a German Sheppard.  The dogs are suspected of killing at least 50 pets for sport and not for food.
