SPOKANE--Crews are close to completing the exterior of the new medical facility at WSU Spokane.
Staff members at the Riverpoint Campus are excited about the progress on the Bio Medical and Health Sciences Building.
Construction is on track as crews prepare for the winter. They worked Thursday to enclose the facility and will now focus on the inside of the $78.6 million project.
Three floors of the building will be dedicated to research alone. Program leaders say that’s about six times more space than what’s available on the entire campus right now.
Along with bringing in more students, the school’s chancellor believes it will help them get some of the best teachers in the profession.
Construction is set to finish in the fall of 2013 and is set to open at the beginning of 2014.
