SPOKANE, Wash. -- Emergency crews pulled a beaver body from the Spokane River Wednesday evening. Crews rushed to the scene at about 4:30 p.m. because a caller reported seeing a body in the water.

Dispatchers said the caller was unsure whether the body was human.

Emergency crews arrived on the scene at Riverside State Park and found an animal body underneath the swinging bridge.
