SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Emergency crews had to cut a driver out of a wreck on an icy stretch of I-90 Friday morning.
Washington State Patrol troopers said a truck hit ice, struck a curb and flipped over near Barker Road. When troopers got there, they said the driver was pinned inside the vehicle and hanging upside down. Crews cut the man out of his seatbelt and got him out of the wreckage. The driver was expected to be okay.
WSP said four cars slid on the same patch of ice and crashed on the freeway Friday between Evergreen and Barker Road, including the truck that rolled over. No one was seriously hurt in any of the crashes.
