CLARK FORK, Idaho -- A driver accused of a hit-and-run after a fatal collision with a Spokane police officer is facing new felony charges.
Brianna Knapp, 28, was originally charged after police say she ran over and killed Officer Kurt Henson in July. Henson was not on duty at the time. Knapp left the scene after the collision but later turned herself into authorities. Bonner County dropped the charges against her in September.
Knapp is now charged with felony leaving the scene of an injury accident. The reason for the new charges is that, after meeting with Idaho State Police, the prosecutor found probable cause to charge Knapp.
She will be in court Dec. 21st for her arraignment.
