Donate blood Wed. in honor of late Sgt. Jacob Hess' birthday

SPOKANE, Wash.--You can donate blood at the Inland Northwest Blood Center in honor of a Spokane servicemember who recently died in action. 

Sergeant Jacob Hess was a Spokane Marine died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom on January 1, 2014. On Wednesday, you can donate blood at the Inland Northwest Blood Center to celebrate Hess’ birthday..

Hess gave blood and platelets before he died. He was also a bone marrow donor.

You can donate at any Inland Northwest Blood Center location.

The Spokane location near W. Cataldo Avenue and N. Normandie Street will take donations from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The North Spokane location will take donations at This Bike Life near N. Nevada Street and E. Hawthorne Road from 2:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The Coeur d’Alene location will take donations near W. Neider Avenue and N. Fruitland Lane from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
