COEUR D'ALENE--Police in Coeur d'Alene are looking for suspects in two robberies ten minutes apart from each other late Thursday night.

Officers told KREM 2 News that a man robbed the Dollar Tree store along West Neider Avenue around 10:20 p.m. Thursday.

Employees told police that the suspect came into the store, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded cash.

Police said the manager saw the suspect and grabbed the gun and tried to wrestle it away, but the suspect broke free and ran from the scene.

Officers are looking for a white male in his twenties about 5'6" with a thin build, blue eyes and dark curly hair down to his neck.  He was last seen wearing a dark blue coat, jeans and a black hoodie.

About ten minutes earlier Thursday night, Coeur d'Alene Police were responding to another robbery in the 4200 block of North Echo Lane.

Police said a woman was getting out of her car in her driveway when a masked man threw open her car door and tried to steal a bag of bank money that was in the car.  The woman told officers that she screamed, kicked the suspect hard and the suspect ran away after dropping the bag.

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Department brought in a K-9 unit and tracked the suspect to Canfield Middle School where they lost his scent.

He was described as a man of average build in his early twenties, around 5'8" and wearing a white and red mask with all black clothing.

If you can help police with either of these robberies, please call 208-769-2320.
