BISMARCK, N.D.-- New court documents filed Tuesday revealed James Henrikson’s wife is cooperating with federal investigators.
Henrikson is charged with being a felon in possession of firearms, and is also under investigation for bank, wire, and mail fraud. He is also connected to the December murder of Spokane Businessman Doug Carlile, according to authorities. Henrikson has not been charged in that case.
Court documents showed Sarah Creveling, Henrickson’s wife, said he would wipe down the firearms before placing them back in the safe. Also, documents revealed Henrikson would have Creveling purchase the weapons for him.
“Henrikson would point to the firearm he wanted and tell Creveling ‘You want his one honey’… and she would purchase it,” a gun store owner said.
Henrikson’s defense team has asked that evidence seized from a safe found in his home during a January search be thrown out. Government officials contend the search was perfectly legal.
The court has not made a decision yet on whether or not the evidence seized in the safe will be allowed. A trial date has not been set.
