COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho. -- A diaper drive Labor Day weekend kicked off to help local parents in need.
The organization Heart to Serve threw its first event in Northern Idaho. The group said it collected more than 7,200 diapers on Friday alone.
"If we can help provide that one little necessity to them and make their life at the children's village a bit better, I'm all for it," said Kelly Stetzelberger with Heart To Serve.
Heart to Serve set up in Coeur d’Alene, Hayden, and Post Falls to collect baby supplies. Volunteers hoped to reach the ten thousand diaper mark by the end of the weekend.
