COEUR D’ALENE-- The 2012 semester is set to bring changed to classrooms across Idaho. A statewide law required more technology based learning and some schools are having problems with the major transition.
The new rules require more technology in Idaho's schools, but the State Department of Education hasn't given out the laptops to any high school teachers yet.
CDA district Information Technology Coordinator Jean Bengfort said schools were told in July the state hasn't bought the computers yet. “They’re trying to make the right decision so they’re trying to take their time with negotiating,” said Bengfort
The goal is to have the computers in schools by fall and everything in their plan is on time according to state officials.
