SPOKANE, Wash. -- Fourteen years ago Sergant Rich Visintainer along with 3 other crew members were killed when the KC-135 they were on crashed in Germany.

Bridget Jess is Sergant Visintainer’s daughter. She said she knows what the family of those killed on Friday on a KC-135 are going through.

Jess said the memories of her father’s death came flooding back when she heard about Friday’s crash in Kyrgyzstan.

“I was in college at Eastern. It messed me up for a long time, losing my dad like that. I’d just talked to him a few weeks before that. It was just surprising, shocking,” said Jess.

Jess said the military community rallied around her family back in 1999 and she is seeing that happening again now.

She said that support is irreplacable during the loss of a loved one.

Jess said he heart goes out to all of the family members who are now experiencing this type of loss.
