SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.-- There is an exercise phenomenon gaining traction across the Inland Northwest. It is called CrossFit.
It is a short, intense workout that is consistently changing.
KREM 2 tracked down two very fit CrossFit trainers with impressive resumes. They train together, they are business partners, and they are engaged to be married.
They own a CrossFit gym called Predation; perhaps an indication of what clients are in for.
Erin LaVoie is a world champion lumberjill. She has two world records in the underhand chop. And her fiancé Chance also has a mile-long list of accomplishments. He served 20 years as a Navy Seal and invented the Stingray allowing troops to disable explosives from afar. He still keeps active in combat fighting pirates off the coast of Somalia. Both of them must keep in shape to keep up with their lifestyles.
Crossfit requires minimal equipment and a whole lot of will power. Business is booming right now along with fitness goals, biceps and lung capacity.
“It's truly life-changing when someone drops medications because they don't need them anymore,” said LaVoie.
