SPOKANE--Criminals have targeted a local non-profit set up to help homeless families.
Someone purposely tore open the gas tank of a van used by “Family Promise” to transport homeless families.
Employees are now using their own vehicles to keep the program running and because of budget constraints, the non-profit is hoping the damage doesn’t put their efforts out of commission.
The van is in the shop right now. Folks at Family Promise aren’t sure how much the damage could reach, but think it’s more than $1,000.
