SPOKANE—Emergency crews from Spokane and Spokane Valley responded to a water rescue call early Tuesday in Spokane.
The original call came in around 10:15 a.m. after reports of a person in the Spokane River near N. Greene Street and E. Jackson Avenue.
Witnesses initially saw the man go under the water near the Greene Street Bridge.
Authorities called off the intense search after speaking with witnesses who say the man jump from the bridge this morning. Officials say the man left behind clothing and a blank unemployment application.
