NEAR COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho-- Dock removal crews were out on Lake Coeur d'Alene to put away hundreds of docks for the winter.
The private docks surrounded the lake for the summer; most are moved once temperatures drop.
Workers with Frey Dock & Barge used tug boats to pack in the docks like puzzle pieces. They moved them to several places on the lake so they're protected from low water and ice.
Crews said they know when they're out on lake, they know winter is nearby.
"You get your hands in the water it gets cold, you know its around the corner," dock builder Logan Hubbard said.
Crews usually return the docks to the homes around Memorial Day Weekend.
