SPOKANE, Wash. -- Fire crews responded early Thursday morning to a house fire in North Spokane. Officials said it sparked at West Cliffwood Court near North Fairwood Drive near the Spokane Country Club.

Fire officials said they arrived on scene around 4:30 Thursday morning and began attacking the flames. They originally responded to a 911 call of flames shooting out the back of a home. Officials said that the main level of the home was fully engulfed with fire when they arrived.

Fire crews said that the flames destroyed a couple levels of the home, leaving it uninhabitable. Officials are working to contact the owners.

Fire officials said they spent several hours knocking down hot spots and cleaning up the area.

Nobody was hurt.
