LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. -- Fire fighters continued working to contain a large brush fire near the Liberty Lake Regional Park late Saturday.
The flames spread in heavy bush and timber on Zephyr Road, about one half mile south of the campgrounds.
Ten acres were blackened.
People in four nearby homes were put on an evacuation alert.
Firefighters used an airplane and a helicopter to dump water on the fire.
The fire was 75-percent contained late Saturday night.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
