KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho. - Separate crashes left two people dead and three others injured during the week. One driver was pronounced dead Friday evening.
Idaho State Patrol said the first crash happened Wednesday on State Highway 13, shortly before 9 p.m. Investigators said the driver, Timothy Willison, 24, was traveling southbound near milepost 23.5 when Willison lost control of his pickup. The vehicle then overturned.
Willison and two passengers were injured. Willison, however, died Friday at St. Joseph's hospital in Lewiston.
The crash was placed under investigation.
A second crash on US 95 near Putnam Road Thursday night killed the driver at the scene.
State Troopers said an 18-year-old driver was traveling northbound around 8 p.m. when his vehicle crossed over the centerline into the southbound lanes, slamming into another vehicle. The other driver, Erin Walker, 42, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The 18-year-old driver was injured.
The accident was also placed under investigation.
