Fatal crash blocks traffic for 5 hours on Long Bridge in Sandpoint

SANDPOINT, Idaho.-- A man was killed in a crash Friday morning that blocked lanes on the Long Bridge in Sandpoint for five hours.

Idaho State Police troopers said the victim, 20-year-old Harrison W. Reasor of Sagle, was traveling northbound on Highway 95. Sagle reportedly drifted into the southbound lane of on the Long Bridge at about 5:30 a.m. and crashed into a semi-truck. The 44-year-old semi-truck driver from Alberta, Canada was not injured.

Authorities closed both lanes of Highway 95 along a section of Long Bridge and asked drivers to use alternate routes. Authorities reopened one lane to traffic just before 9:00 a.m.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation according to the Idaho State Police.
