NORTH SPOKANE, Wash. -- A north Spokane woman, who is also a volunteer at a Cops Shop, says her home in the Nevada-Ligerwood neighborhood was hit by a bullet.

Sandy Smith says she was sitting in her living room recliner Saturday night watching television when she heard what she calls an explosion.

"When I walked in here and turned the lights on there was glass all over the floor here. On the bed. Everywhere. Out into here," said Smith.

Smith believes the shot was an accident but it could have been deadly.

"If I had come in here and been there. It would have hit me in the head. It would've splattered glass all over me," said Smith.

Police came out that night but did not find the person responsible. Now she's stuck with a bill for the damage and left wondering who did it.

If you have any information about the shooting call Crime Check at 456-2233.
