SPOKANE VALLEY-- A convicted child rapist made his first court appearance on child pornography charges Friday. 37 year old Christopher Ebner was arrested Thursday, after the Spokane Police Special Victims Unit caught him in an undercover operation.
Police served Ebner his fourth local child pornography warrant in two weeks Thursday morning and completed a search of his home.
A detective in the case said he found nearly 20 files of child pornography on Ebner’s computer and that he shared them online. The videos reportedly depict children who appeared to be as young as 8-years-old engaged in sexually explicit conduct with adults, as well as with other young children.
Ebner is a Level II Registered Sex Offender with a 15 year history of targeting children. He has prior convictions for 3rd Degree Rape of a Child and Possession of Depictions of Minors Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct.
Police searches of IP addresses led them to Ebner’s home.
Ebner lived in the 1400 block of North Hodges in Spokane Valley. This is just a short distance from the Central Valley Kindergarten Center.
He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
