SPOKANE-- A local homebuilder hopes to start the next phase of construction on a $9 million apartment complex at the Kendall Yards development near downtown Spokane.
The City of Spokane is still reviewing the building permit applications. It will take another 60 days before they get the approval and start construction.
The CEO of Greenstone Jim Frank says 84-units will be going up in the new Bridgeway Apartments. The complex will house primarily two bedrooms, two bath apartments.
The complex is bordered by maple and cedar streets with views of the Spokane River. The CEO expects to start the construction process by September, and anticipates people will be able to move in to the apartments by next spring.
The CEO says there's a strong demand for residential housing around the downtown core. They haven't determined how much rent will be for the apartments.
