SPOKANE, Wash.--There was a special homecoming Tuesday for a former congressman from Spokane. George Nethercutt returned to his alma mater of North Central High School.

He talked to students about the importance of being educated and engaged in our history and government.

Nethercutt was there to promote his upcoming Citizenship Tournament which gives students from around Eastern Washington a chance to compete for scholarship money as well as trips that will allow tournament winners to engage with the government firsthand.
