DEER PARK, Wash. - A collision on Highway 395 near Deer Park Friday afternoon sent three people to the hospital and slowed down traffic.
The Washington State Patrol said a woman driving a Honda with a child passenger pulled out onto the highway from H Street around 3:30 p.m. when a Ford Explorer smashed into their car.
Firefighters had to cut the woman out of her car by opening up the roof.
Both the woman and the child were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Explorer also went to the hospital to be checked out for his minor injuries.
Traffic was slow in the area for about 90 minutes until tow trucks removed the cars just before 5 p.m.
