SPOKANE-- City leaders are looking to start a revitalization project on North Monroe similar to the one done 2 years ago on Market Street through downtown Hillyard.

The project it could start in a couple years, but some business owners say they don't want it.

The big concern is construction.

The project will extend two miles north of the Monroe Street Bridge.

Officials believe the project will help relieve congestion and improve traffic flow, improve the streetscape, and beef up the infrastructure with new sewer and water lines.

Wednesday the city will have an open house at empire office machines from 3 p.m. To 5 p.m. Where they want input in the project and what people want to see.
