SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash.—The owner of Charlie P’s restaurant in Spokane valley hosted a fundraiser Saturday for a teenager who was hit by a police cruiser while riding his bike nearby.

The 15-year-old, Ryan Holyk, was in critical condition after Deputy Joseph Bodman struck him on his way to a domestic violence call in May.

Holyk’s family and friends gathered at the restaurant located on the same intersection where he was hit to wash cars and raise money. Family and friends said Holyk and his family were regular patrons at Charlie P’s.
