SPOKANE -- The Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery turns 26 Wednesday. Celebrating its birthday is part of a new fundraiser to help more kids in 2013.
The nursery helped a record 4,300 children last year, but issues forced volunteers to turn away more kids than every before.
A new marketing campaign encourages people to ask friends and family to make a donation to the crisis nursery in your name, instead of giving you a gift you do not need or want.
