COEUR D'ALENE-- A Post Falls business owner is upset after dealing with random attempted thefts.  The most recent was at one of his car wash locations that was caught by the security camera.

John Hansen said people have caused a lot of damage to his property.  And they did not get away with much money.  Earlier this week, a couple people pulled up to the Coeur d'Alene Car Wash Plaza.  They arrived in a car and at first, they looked like typical customers.  But after the woman got chance, the man who was with her, came up to a vending machine and tried to break in.

The suspect walked away from the machine that dispenses items such as shams.  Surveillance video showed he came back with something to pry it open.  The video showed the man looked around several times.  Then he swept the inside and left.  Hansen said even though the suspect did not get away with any money, it is still a financial blow.

Hansen said replacing the boxes after a break-in costs him hundreds of dollars.  It is just small enough not to claim on insurance.  The vandalism is something he has dealt with at several of his locations.
