NORTH SPOKANE--A Spokane man was killed when the car he is working on started and dragged him while he was underneath.
 
On Monday around 11:25 am Spokane Fire Department units responded to the intersection of Nettleton and Dean on an aid call. Arriving on scene they found an adult male pinned under a car. They had to jack up the car to extricate the man.

Paramedics attempted to revive the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Investigators from the Spokane Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded to the site to investigate and process the scene.

Investigators determined the death was an accident.

The man was working on the electrical system of a car in front of his home. The car, which was in gear with the keys in the ignition, started and dragged the man approximately 150 feet before the car came to a stop.
 
The man killed in the accident was identified as Spokane resident, Albert Garcia, 73.
