SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.-- The Central Valley High School band take off soon headed for the other side of the country.
Out of 2800 bands, the Presidential Inaugural Committee selected the CVHS band to play in the Inaugural Parade in Washington D.C. next week. Only about one dozen bands will get to play.
A driver will haul the instruments in a large truck across the country before the 130 students take off at the end of the week.
Several students participated in fundraisers to help pay their way. The trip costs about $1,000 per person.
The parade is scheduled for next Monday.
