SPOKANE- They take care of everything from organizing block watches to fielding graffiti reports. Now, the 12 Spokane C.O.P.S. officers must operate on a much tighter budget.
The Spokane City Council voted not to give the shops any funding from the red light traffic camera revenue.
The shops currently operate on about $180,000 every year. But, organizers said to maintain what they do now, the shops need at least $10,000 more.
The red light camera revenue will go toward traffic safety.
