NEWPORT, Wash.--Pend Oreille County deputies said a woman's body that was found in Newport City Park on Sunday is  possibly the outcome of an overdose on prescription drugs.

Deputies said there were no indicators of foul play.

Deputies responded to Newport City Park on Sunday morning around 11:00 where a person was lying on the ground. When deputies arrived they found an adult woman dead.

The Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office deputies asked for help from the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab in processing the scene for potential evidence.

Interviews and prescription drugs found on scene led investigators to believe a possible overdose was likely the cause of death.
