SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.—The Spokane County Medical Examiner identified the body pulled from the Spokane River. Officials completed an autopsy Wednesday and said the body was that of Laurence S. Roebke, 22.

Officials could not determine what caused Roebke’s death.  The Spokane County Medical Examiner said further testing would need to be done.

A man walking his dog found Laurence Roebke’s body floating in the Spokane River Tuesday east of Argonne around 12:30 p.m.

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived on the scene shortly after the discovery. Deputies said the body was tangled in a tree near the shore. The dive team retrieved the body from the water.
