SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane Police Chief Frank Straub is not releasing many details about the security plan for Bloomsday that is just a few weeks away.

Straub said he has a very good plan laid out for Bloomsday, Spokane's largest foot race. As more details about the Boston bombings come out, the department said it will adjust accordingly.

He also said that the department does not discuss specific staffing plans. Officers will be manning intersections, the finish line and the starting line.

Straub guarantees that the event will be safe.
