DEER PARK, Wash. -- Habitat for Humanity’s annual “Blitz Build” will come to an end on Saturday, June 15.
The two week project had volunteers working hard to finish and dedicate four homes. Organizers said almost 1,000 volunteers helped to build homes.
“I’ve always enjoyed good housing throughout my life. I can only think of one lousy place I lived in. It just struck me: with time and limited skills this is a good way to say thanks. Give back,” said Jim Kuhns, a Habitat for Humanity volunteer.
Blitz Build has helped people finds homes in the area since 2002. Families will be able to move into the homes the same day that they are dedicated.
