SPOKANE VALLEY -- A memorial was held Friday night for the man who was hit and killed on his bicycle at the intersection of Division and Sprague.

Friends and family gathered at Mama's Thai Lounge to listen to music and share memories of David Squires.  He was hit by a pick-up truck two weeks ago.  The suspect, Scott Reckord, is suspected of being drunk and trying to run from the scene.  But Friday night was a chance for the Squires family to remember all the good times they had with David.

Live music, food, drinks, and a picture of David watching from the bar.  He was an electrician who did not drive.  He used his bike to get to jobs.  To his six kids, he was just dad.

Friday night's memorial was also a benefit for the Squires family.
