Couer d’Alene— A local three year old is entering a beauty pageant to help raise money for her dad and hundreds of other miners who were laid off after the Lucky Friday Mine was closed.

Tayslie Otto’s mom and aunt came up with the idea of the pagaent.

All proceeds will go to the families affected by the mine closure.

The mine in Mullan, Idaho shut down two weeks ago putting nearly 200 people out of work.

The Little Lucky Lass Beauty Pageant will be held March 17th in Coeur d’Alene.
