SPOKANE -- Fire investigators are trying to figure out the cause of a basement fire at a North Spokane home Thursday night. Firefighters arrived near the intersection of Princeton and Lidgerwood to find smoke coming from the basement. Flames could also be seen through the basement windows.
Firefighters tried to get through the front door but they say there was so much stuff in the house that is was preventing them from getting in. They decided to pour foam through the basement windows to put out the fire. Eventually, the extinguished the flames.
Firefighters say there is a lot of damage to the house. The homeowners were not home when the fire started. No one was hurt.
