SPOKANE, Wash. --- Avista filed requests today to increase electric and natural gas rates in Idaho.
If approved, the average electric residential customer in Idaho would see their bill go up about $4.20 per month. Natural gas customers would see their bills increase about $4.12 per month.
The Idaho Public Utilities Commisison still needs to approve the request.
Avista projects the increased rates could bring in more than $15 million. The company says it would use that money for investment and maintenance projects.
