SPOKANE, Wash. -- Police confirmed Friday afternoon that an improvised incendiary device was found at Rogers High School. Officers investigated a susicpious device. They found a baseball bat and road flares tied together with wires.
Police received the report of a possible bomb around 10:30 a.m. Spokane Police Department’s Explosive Disposal Unit responded. After investigating it, they determined the device was meant to catch fire.
The team diffused the device. After collecting evidence and interviewing students and staff officers cleared the scene.
Officials did not evacuate the school during the investigation.
