SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.-- Authorities say it appears they've found the body of an elderly man missing for a week.
Sheriff’s deputies found a body Friday near Blanchard and Tillman Rd. They believe it’s the body of Samuel H. Counts.
Counts, 71, disappeared last Friday, Nov. 23, from Spokane Valley while driving to the grocery store. Counts suffers from dementia.
Search crews located his car, a 2012 KIA sedan, behind Mt. Spokane in a heavily wooded area Friday afternoon. Search and rescue began searching the area for signs of Counts.
Authorities are waiting for the medical examiner to confirm the body is Counts.
