COEUR D'ALENE -- Hundreds of Sarah Palin supporters are camping out at the Coeur d'Alene Fred Meyer.  The Sandpoint native is in town to promote her best selling book.

It's going to be a long, cold wait for people hoping to see the former governor of Alaska and Republican Vice-Presidential candidate.  Inside the Coeur d'Alene Fred Meyer, staff are still preparing.  Over 1,000 Sarah Palin supporters are expected to be in line by Thursday morning.

Sarah Palin will be signing her book in the area where you would normally get your furniture.  Employees spent most of Wednesday rearranging that part of the store in anticipation of the big event.  They know how busy it will be.  The first 700 people in line get a bracelet at about 10:30 Thursday morning, 90 minutes before the event starts.  They will get a book signed by Palin.  If you are in line all night, the store plans to help a little.

"We'll try to put some heaters out there to keep people warm, but you'll be outside," said Fred Meyer employee Melinda Merrill.

Customers will be led through one end of the store, right to the former governor, and then back out again.  Palin will be signing books from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Many people are already outside the store with heaters and campers waiting in line outside the garden center gates.

After the Coeur d'Alene visit, Palin will go to Sandpoint for another book signing at the Sandpoint Events Center at 102 Euclid Avenue from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

People can begin lining up at 3:00 p.m., but only the first 700 people will be allowed through.  All 700 people must show proof they bought their copy of Palin's book "Going Rogue" at Vanderford's Books in Sandpoint in order to get a signature.

Just because Sarah was born in Idaho doesn't mean we all believe in her rightest Republican beliefs. I can't believe all those people waited in line in that cold to meet her. According to her, Obama is to blame for everything wrong in this country, even things that he inherited with his presidency. Believe it or not, and I realize it's hard to do so, there are some liberals in Idaho.

That is way too funny! In this picture of “Ed Schaefer of Coeur d’Alene, ”http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2009/dec/10/thousand-plus-wait-cold-palin/, I thought it was a gag by David Letterman making fun of the typical Palin supporter; but it simply really is a Palin supporter!!! Wow. Now that is scary! Well, maybe Palin will “go rogue” on the Pentagon and the dreaded military-industrial complex . . . Yeah right. Har har har

Like it or not, Sarah has a hugh following, and will make alot of money! A great many people identify with her conservative ideas. Frankly, I like her alot better than the likes of Eric Holder,Nancy, and Harry Reid. This country is being turned upside down, and we need a few more conservatives in office----so quit bad mouthing Sarah. Maybe, she will go pave the way for future office or be a flash in the pan. Either way, I like her!!
