The recently opened Daiquiri Factory has been the subject of heavy criticism in recent weeks from people claiming the drink’s name trivializes rape. On Saturday, the owner of Daiquiri Factory once again acknowledged the issue on the bar’s Facebook page and called his critics out online. The post generated outrage as well as support for the bar from Facebook users.
Meanwhile, a forum at Gonzaga University Friday night debated the controversial name of the drink.

Kraft Foods has also expressed concern over the drink’s name. Kraft officials said the company intends to take action on the unauthorized use of its Kool-Aid trademark.
The protest outside Daiquiri Factory Saturday was scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
