Airway Heights motocross community remembers lost racer

AIRWAY HEIGHTS-- A 17-year-old boy died in a crash over the weekend at the Airway Heights Motocross Park.

During an event Saturday, an accident killed one of the youngest members of that racing community, Austin Krum.

According to the Medical Examiner's Office he suffered a blunt chest injury during a race.
 
The managers of the track posted a message on their website that said in part "This last weekend the racing community lost a priceless young member of its family. It's with a heavy heart that we want to pass along our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Austin Krum."
 
They also posted a message on their Facebook page and changed their profile to honor Krum's racing number 428.
 
In the last 24 hours almost 100 people have shown their support on the track's Facebook page.
