Cell tower outages impact 911 in Ferry County

FERRY COUNTY--The Ferry County Sheriff’s Office warned Curlew and Malo residents that 911, long distance and cell towers were down Monday.

The Sheriff’s Office said anyone with a 779 prefix could only call others with that same prefix.

The Sheriff’s Office deployed Search and Rescue to man the Curlew substation and relay emergencies to the Ferry County 911.

In case of emergency, call (509) 779-4341.

There were multiple units from Frontier communications working on fixing the problem.
