TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Pierce County authorities invite citizens to line of the route of the motorcade that will be bringing the body of Deputy Walter "Kent" Mundell back to Tacoma at 2 p.m.

Those who want to show their respects will be able to watch the motorcade as it leaves Interstate 5 at the 7th St. exit, proceeds onto South Tacoma Way, goes right on Steilacoom Boulevard to the Mountain View Funeral Home.

The motorcade is scheduled to leave the King County Medical Examiner's Office at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

A small contingency of Seattle Police Department and Washington State Patrol cars will escort five Pierce County Sheriff's vehicles.

Mundell was shot by a man while responding to a domestic violence incident at a residence in Eatonville on Dec. 21. He died Monday.

Pierce County authorities say a memorial for Mundell will be held Jan. 5 at the Tacoma Dome.
